I went to the doctor with stomach pains and they stumbled upon my diabetes, saying they caught it very early. My original AIC was 6.5. In March, I started a gluten free diet after learning I have an autoimmune response to wheat. Today, mid-June, I am no longer on short-acting or long-acting insulin. My AIC (as of last week) was 5.5. Yesterday I ate 60 grams of candy in one sitting and my sugar went to 140 and headed back down to normal in an hour. In addition to having non-diabetic numbers, I have so much more energy and my migraines are completely gone. My MD said he has seen this happen before...
Carly Baumgartnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04057693629609468759noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30983428.post-87549388621763464152016-06-22T06:26:36.374-07:002016-06-22T06:26:36.374-07:00Today makes it 6 month since I was. cured of Diabe...Today makes it 6 month since I was. cured of Diabetes type2 using Doctor James Herbal medicine he calls TATAHWE which flushed away the disease and every other disease from my body. While at the hospital they fed him up to 80grams of high starch carbs, ice cream!!! For God sakes his BG levels never went below 200 and they instructed us to simply eat what we'd like but correct with the proper insulin dose. I was so upset and realized how my child was being treated like a pay check. Anyway I went home and tossed all Gluten, Sugars dairy and processed foods along with immediately taking him off of the long lasting insulin. It has been 4 days and his BG levels are beautiful we use 1-2 units if he goes over 160 but he is progressing well. I am in the process of detoxifying his body with herbal teas, lots of water, light exercise. I am adding supplements to help support his weekend immune system with vitamin D, Calcium, Spiralulina (Phytonutrient), Probiotics, B-Complex, b-5, b12, Niacin, Thymus Extract and Bentonite Clay. I know it's a lot but my goal has been to first rid his body of the excess glucose as to not do any further damage to his pancreas then detox his body of all that could be slowing down his immune system and Endocrine System and then supplementing in order to give his body the strength it needs to regenerate. I know it is believed that in type 1 the pancreas is already a goner but if everything else in our body can regenerate fully or partially why wouldn't a pancreas. I'm from India and my 5.4 yr old son has been diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes on Aug 1st with 560 mg blood glucose level. He was into his remission phase 10 days after diagnosis. It's been 1 month now since he is off insulin with blood - glucose levels within 150 mg. Recently, we observed that his levels are not in control, i.e between 200 to 250, whenever he eats gluten containing food. After reading your article we strongly feel that he is gluten intolerant. Please suggest our further steps regarding this. We would like to have a quick call with you as per your convenience. He is signed up with the San Francisco University Research Center and hopefully the message will get out, but I have had some roadblocks when trying to explain this diet and how well it worked on my son. Many parents feel that the diagnosis is the end & are ready to install the pump on their child!! I even had to switch doctors because I was constantly reminded that his numbers which shoot back up, & I was doing nothing special... Now with his new doctor's full support& backing us every step of the way we will continue on this gluten free diet and hopefully change the lives of a couple kids!
Victoria. ..Vacaville, caAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30983428.post-64474609222542145922014-01-01T02:06:39.356-08:002014-01-01T02:06:39.356-08:00Hello and sorry for my very bad english.

I started a gluten free dairy free diet 4 weeks ago and I no longer get asthma, my blood sugars have dropped and I feel better. Things are not perfect yet and over Christmas I did get cross contaminated and all the symptoms came back - I needed the cortisone inhaler again for the asthma and my sugar levels rose despite still eating a very low carbohydrate diet.
