Hello, I would love to schedule a Skype appointment with Dr. Vikki Petersen so my 19-year-old daughter can have a conversation about various issues, but especially with regard to her chronic hunger and weight gain that started about a year after going on a gluten-free diet. She is highly gluten sensitive, but not a celiac. Would such an appointment be possible, how do I set it up, and how do I pay for it? We live in Iowa. Thank you, Karin Stein, costari@iowatelecom.net

We have struggled with health issues with our 14 year old son adopted from Russia 12 years ago. We addressed the intestinal distress that was causing cramping and vomiting. They could find nothing and left us with the option of medication with horrible side effects. We then went to an organic diet and that stopped the vomiting. He still cramps and his growth is definitly not what it should be. Will the stool test tell us what it may be? What would you suggest. Still struggling with Dr. that only want to medicate.

Our 14 year old son adopted from Russia 12 years ago had several intestinal issues. When mostly resolved we addressed the cramping and vommiting. They could find nothing via blood work and perscribed medication with horrible side effects. We then went on an organic diet and that stopped the vommiting but not the cramping. He is very small for his age. So much more is known now. Would the stool test tell us what we need to know?

@momofeight:
The stool test can assist. I would need to know more specifics regarding your son in order to make an informed recommendation.

You can schedule a free health analysis if you're interested.

Best,
Dr Vikki

Dear momofeight,
I wrote to you earlier, but I'm not sure if you received my comment, as your question again arrived today.

It would be prudent to see if gluten intolerance is an issue - that's a blood test (include celiac and gluten sensitivity tests, both) and the stool test would be helpful to identify any inhospitable organisms that could be causing the cramping.

You can call us for a free health analysis to get more specific info - 408-733-0400.
Best,
Dr Vikki

Hi Dr. Vikki,

I recently came across your article in Simply Gluten Free Magazine and was very impressed with your overview and thoughts on cellulite. My company manufactures the Sweetcheeks Cellulite Massage Mats (swwetcheeksproducts.com). I was impressed by how you presented the facts! Brava! I just wanted you to know that our product is like another dry brushing technique, but you just have to sit on our massage mats to get the effects. Please check us out. I know you will like our holistic approach. And while we do not advocate sitting for prolonged periods, we found a way to help with increasing local circulation and reducing the appearance of cellulite when you do have to sit. I'm including a video that just went viral on the product. Thanks for all you do to get the word out on cellulite and its ties to diet and exercise. We can do more! http://bit.ly/2dMJfbh

If you'd like to send a sample so that we can get an idea of the product, that would be lovely.

Otherwise, feel free to reach out via phone to the clinic as another option: 408-733-0400.

All the best,
Dr Petersen
